Join us for our Mountain Creek Fall Women’s Downhill Weekend.  Enjoy a weekend of riding and confidence building with our skills clinics.  Sign up for as many sessions as you like. These clinics are a great opportunity to gain confidence on your bike while working with like-minded women on your downhill mountain bike skills. Our Women’s Downhill weekend is offered in collaboration with Kathi Krause and Dirt Rock n Root Training LLC.  Kathi is a 3X World Masters and 5X National Downhill Champion and is fully certified by both PMBIA and IMBA for coaching.  Joining Kathi will be guest coaches Karen Eagan, Tracey Spiritus and other local female riders.

Camp Agenda:

Saturday

Fundamentals DH101 Clinic 9:30AM – 12:30 PM
New to downhill mountain biking.? This is the session for you. It focuses on foundational skills to help riders enjoy their first runs down the Mountain. 

 

Drop It Like It’s Hot Clinic 1:30PM – 4:30 PM

Unlock the secrets to confidently hitting drops. In this clinic we’ll explore the fundamental skills of drops and then apply them to both man-made and natural drops.

Tech Support Clinic 1:30PM – 4:30 PM

Gain the confidence you need to take on the tech. In this clinic we’ll explore the fundamental skills of choosing the right line to choose when riding rocks, steeps and other natural technical terrain.

 

Sunday

Turning & Berming Clinic 9:30AM – 12:30 PM

Learn to corner like a pro! This session focuses on cornering on both flat and bermed turns as well as small wall rides. Focus will be paid on cornering fundamentals, vision, and body positioning

Jump it Up Beginner Clinic 1:30PM – 4:30PM

Jump Next Steps – Intermediate Riders

Want to learn to fly? Let us help you learn how to do it safely. This clinic focuses on the correct skills and body position to conquer jumps of various size and type. This year we are offering two levels – a beginner level for those new to jumping and an intermediate level for those who have been through the beginner session and want to take the next step in their progression.

 

Clinic Fees:  $130 per session
$1 from each entry will go to support New Jersey’s NICA Programs

Clinic fees do not include Lift Tickets or Rentals. Campers can receive promo codes for a 50% discount off Lift Tickets for the date of the their camp – Must be purchased prior to the start of camp.  Please email tstone@mountaincreek.com to receive your ticket promo code(s).  Please also note that rental bike availability is limited.  If you need a bike we suggest making your rental reservation prior to booking your camp spot.

 

Other Helpful Information:
Please note: All campers must be able to stand on their pedals while coasting on their bikes. Beginner riders must be comfortable riding a mountain bike off paved surfaces and be able to use hand brakes with confidence. For jump and drop clinics, riders should have a basic comfort level with riding on beginner level freeride features.  Any questions about what clinics are right for you please email Coach Kathi at dirtrocknroot@gmail.com

What should I wear?
Long pants and long sleeve tops are recommended. Shoulders should be covered.
Full-face helmets are required for all participants.
Knee and elbow protective equipment are highly recommended.
Full-finger gloves and goggles are recommended.

Can I use my own bike?
A full suspension mountain bike with a minimum of 5” (125mm) of front and rear travel is required. Front and rear disc brakes are required – no coaster or rim brakes allowed.

Downhill Rental Bikes are available through Mountain Creek. Advanced reservations are required to ensure the right size bike is available for you.

Complimentary protective equipment is included with all bike rentals.
