Gustavo “Gus” Cancio – Lifeguard

Hey, I’m Gustavo and I’m from Madrid. This is my second summer working at Mountain Creek and I enjoy so much spending the summer here, with people I already know and making new friends too. I study civil engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and some of my hobbies are training Jiu Jitsu, hanging out with my friends, hiking and trying new food.

Estefania “Estefi” Del Carmen – Lifeguard

I’m Estefi, and I’m from Seville, Spain. I’m studying German Language and Literature at the University of Seville, and I also run my own rhythmic gymnastics club and organize sports activities with local municipalities. I love playing sports, walking my dog, and spending my afternoons sipping wine and eating “tapas” in the streets of Seville with my friends. I also love sunny days, reading, and going to concerts! But what I enjoy most is meeting new people and discovering new places, which is why I signed up for this Work and Travel program. It’s honestly been one of the best experiences I could have asked for. I needed a break from work, and here I am! Enjoying time with people from all over the world, exploring new places, and traveling whenever we can. We’re just a small but wonderful family, and I’m so happy to be part of it! ❤️

Yuanxi “Elias” Lin – Lifeguard

Hi everyone! I’m Elias from China. I’m a curious and adventurous person who loves music, traveling, and meeting people from different cultures. China is a huge and diverse country with thousands of years of history, many regional cultures, and a mix of traditional and modern life. I recently graduated from Northwest A&F University, where I majored in Smart Livestock Science and Engineering. My studies focused on animal science, genetics, biology, and data analysis. I love playing guitar and listening to music, especially rock and blues. I also enjoy going to concerts, traveling, exploring new places, and meeting new people. I’m looking forward to meeting more people from different countries, experiencing American culture, and making great memories at Mountain Creek. I also hope to travel around the U.S. and explore as much as I can before the summer ends.

Ronald McDonald House

We will be collecting pop tabs in Team Experience and at all the bars across the resort!

Across the NJ area, hundreds of individuals, schools and companies are working together to collect pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.  Those pop tabs are then recycled by the charity’s recycling partner, United Scrap Metal, and the charity will then receive the market value of the recycled metal, plus a charitable match from United Scrap Metal.  We invite you to join us in supporting families at Ronald McDonald House today.

Habitat For Humanity – Sussex County

Volunteers are central to the mission of Habitat for Humanity. What began as a grass roots effort has become a venture dedicated to building simple, decent and affordable housing in partnership with families that lack adequate shelter. We need funding to operate, but we would not move forward without volunteers!

Foodshed Alliance – Sussex County

A foodshed is the geographic location that produces the food for a particular population. The term describes a region where food flows from the area that it is produced to the place where it is consumed, including the land it grows on, the route it travels, the markets it passes through, and the tables it ends up on.

The Foodshed Alliance works to strengthen the northern New Jersey “foodshed,” working particularly in Sussex, Warren, Morris, Passaic, Bergen, Essex and Hudson counties
